Why does world painter not work?
It is possible that a custom Windows theme is triggering a bug in Java and preventing WorldPainter from starting. Try checking “Disable visual themes” on the Compatibility tab of the WorldPainter shortcut properties, or if that does not work, resetting the Windows theme to the default altogether.
Is world painter a virus?
WorldPainter does not contain any virus or malware!
How do you get WorldPainter worlds in Minecraft?
Load it in Minecraft, and fly along all the edges, forcing Minecraft to generate all the chunks around the edges. Import the map into WorldPainter using Ctrl+I or File -> Import -> Existing Minecraft map Use the Smooth tool, terrain tools, and any other tool of your choice to merge and smooth the seams.
Why can’t WorldPainter find Java?
If you have 64-bit hardware, make sure to use the 64-bit version of Windows, Java and WorldPainter. If the installer tells you it can’t find a Java VM, you may have to install 64-bit Java first, which you can get here (pick the file ending in.exe ).
Does World painter work for bedrock?
As far as I know World Painter does not support Bedrock edition worlds. If you still want to use World Painter to create Bedrock worlds, there are a few tools available that allow you to convert Java edition maps to Bedrock, although I cannot guarantee that any of them work.
Is World painter safe to use?
WorldPainter Safe Mode is an operating mode of WorldPainter that eliminates all outside influences that might cause it not to start or to be unusable. It is separate from, and does not require, Windows Safe Mode.

Load a world with all your mods, then import the world into World Painter, then mess with the surface however you want, then merge it with the old world file. This way, all the undergrounds layers will remain the same (all your fancy ores), but the surface will become whatever you want it to be.
